PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project involved the development of a site and construction of a new two-story bus maintenance facility in Arlington, VA. The facility included stairs, an elevator, overhead coiling doors, a bus wash bay, and a light duty maintenance bay. In addition, there was a new CNG fueling station and CNG compressor system with onsite standby power.

Other building trades included: concrete, masonry, structural steel, rough carpentry, insulation, air barriers, TPO roofing, metal doors and frames, overhead coiling doors, glazed aluminum curtain walls, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.

Scope: The ART Bus Facility involved a new two story facility comprised of a bus wash bay, maintenance bay, elevator and administrative spaces. In addition there is a CNG Fueling System. There is also site work including concrete pavement, fencing, utilities, earthwork and landscaping. The ART Bus House-S. Eads Street involved primarily streetscape work, including site lighting, pavement, signage and site demolition. Major trades are site work, concrete pavement, concrete, masonry, steel(AISC), roofing, metal wall panels, vehicle wash equipment, elevators, HVAC and plumbing, electrical, communications and CNG Facilities work. Subcontractors should separate their pricing by building or streetscape.
